POSITION SUMM! ARY:
The Home Health Operations Specialist will work closely with the Visiting Services Sr. Vice President and other corporate staff, Executive Director, and agency management to support operational, financial and performance improvement practices in the agencies. This position will support the local agency management teams and assist with the opening of new branches and acquisitions. Extensive travel is required for this position within our Massachusetts market including Newton, North Andover, Westborough, Braintree and Chicopee.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide operational support and management in selected offices as directed.
2. Participate in orientation of Executive Directors and Directors to Visiting Services with specific emphasis on reports, Processes, CLASS, billing, payroll, regulatory and compliance issues.
3. Provide consultation and education as directed in the following areas
- Staff orientation
- Reg! ulatory requirements
- Structure, process and workflow recommendations
- Staffing
- Management development and training
- Utilization trends
- Productivity
- Admissions, episodes, case weights, etc.
- Specialty programs
- Revenue trends
6. Assists in the identification of opportunities to increase efficiencies.
7. Participates in the implementation of new programs and policies at the local level.
8. Maintains a broad knowledge of home care including clinical, operational, accreditation and regulatory aspects and serves as a resource on these issues to agency management and staff.
9. Supports the principles of the Corporate Compliance Program, attends orientation and in-service updates and provi! des appropriate guidance to staff regarding program policies.
! QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
2. Must be self-directed, motivated and serve as a role model for management and staff throughout the organization.
3. Must be capable of managing multiple operational and developmental projects, functions and activities simultaneously.
4. Knowledge of home care regulations, accreditation and regulatory requirements is required.
5. Extensive home health management experience required.
