Certified Nursing Assistant - 7am - 3pm (every other
weekend, every other Holiday)
The Certified Nursing Assistant! (C.N.A.) is to provide
each assigned resident with routine daily 3nursing care
and services in accordance with the resident’s care
plan, and as may be directed by his/her supervisor.

Reporting to:

• Charge Nurse of assigned unit

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to assigned resident’s with

Activities of Daily Living consistent with the
resident’s plan of care.

• Adhere to and practice Resident Rights policies and

procedures.

• Assist with resident admission, discharge and

transfer requirements as assigned.

• Complete all assigned documentation during assigned

shift.

• Report all resident changes in condition promptly to

the Charge Nurse.

• Report all observed or allegations of resident abuse

to the Charge Nurse immediately consistent with
policy an! d procedure.

• Notify the Charge Nurse when supplie! s require

restocking, are unavailable and needed to provide
resident care.

• Notify Charge nurse if equipment is not functioning.
• Participate in the resident Care Plan meetings as

assigned.

• Adhere to and practice safety and infection control

practices.

• Attend education and training sessions as required

and assigned.

Recommended Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand

the English language.

• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary

to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs
of the residents served.

• Must be a supportive team member and work well with

others.

• Must possess the ability to make independent

decisions when circumstances warrant such acti! on.

• Must be able to relate information concerning a

resident’s condition.

Education:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

Certification/Licensure:

• Active license as a Certified Nursing Assistant in

state.

Professional Experience:

• Prior experience as a CNA is preferred.
