As a Financial Service Analyst, you will be responsible for all purchasing activities and serve as the payroll coordinator in the Biological Chemistry Department. Responsibilities include: * Interface with vendors; receive all orders; resolve discrepancies with invoicing by vendors and invoice payment by the accounts payable office. * Process payroll transactions such as collecting timesheets, verifying funding sources (FAU), securing supervisor authorizations, and entering payroll actions into Payroll Time Reporting (PTR) system. * Process travel reimbursements utilizing the Travel Express system. * Maintain office and research supply inventories and maintenance/inventory of office equipment. * Collect orders from staff, students, and faculty. * Process online Facilities Service Request (FSR) and Telephone Service Request (TSR). * Initiate special requests to parking services. * Provide administrative assistance to Department’s administration staff and faculty as needed. Salary Range: $24.81-52.11 Hourly
* Detail customer oriented skills to professionally, courteously, and quickly respond to requests from staff, faculty, students, and guests. * Detail oriented with demonstrated previous office experience. * Knowledge and experience with University policies and procedures regarding purchasing, accounts payable, and travel. * Strong communications skills to effectively communicate in oral and written form with all levels of staff, faculty, students, university representatives, vendors, and outside contacts. * Experience using University BruinBuy and Express Travel systems. * Experience using University Payroll System (PTR functions). * Familiarity with University facilities, catering, telecommunications, and other service requests. * Ability to take supervision from multiple staff and organize workflow efficiently. * Demonstrated ability to use Windows PC and Microsoft Office in a business environment. * Experience utilizing email as a primary form of business communication. * Ability to use calculator accurately. * Ability to work as a member of a team environment within the department.
