The Department of Medicine is currently seeking a motivated Staff Research Associate 2. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in research related to a wide range of compelling topics, such as mental health, primary care, telemedicine, health policy, racial-ethnic disparities, and safety-net healthcare. As a valued member of our team, you will work under the supervision of the Project Manager and Principal Investigator, undertaking a diverse array of research tasks. These responsibilities will encompass data collection, management, analysis, and writing, allowing you to contribute to the generation of valuable insights. Additionally, you will be involved in research-related administrative duties, including project planning, coordination, and scheduling to ensure the timely completion of milestones. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will regularly interact with the project team and partners to fulfill project tasks and deliverables. Attention to detail is paramount in this position, as it directly impacts the quality and accuracy of our research outcomes. Qualifications

Required: * Ability to perform duties and tasks independently and with responsibility with minimal supervision.. * Ability to maintain confidentiality with data and research projects. * Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of individuals including faculty, staff, data and research partners. * Experience in research project coordination (project management). Ability to prioritize group tasks and manage project & teams. * Excellent team skills, interacting well with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Experience with establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, and research partners, and maintaining a helpful attitude at all times. * Prior experience in handling a variety of tasks with a high degree of accuracy (multitasking) and ability to set priorities when confronted with competing requests. Ability to meet tight deadlines and last minutes requests efficiently and accurately. * Strong problem solving skills. Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environment based on changing priorities and frequent interruptions. Preferred: * Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations, policies or procedures to define the problem, need or objective, identify relevant issues or concerns, formulate alternatives for resolution or new program development, and recommend alternative choices and implications for implementation. * Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years of related experience in a health care, research, or educational environment (e.g., Masters in Public Health). * Experience in qualitative research methods, including interviews and focus groups. * Experience in health policy and law, as well as interest in legal research methods. * Experience dealing with IRBs and managing submission processes. * Experience with data collection and/or analyses for health services/medical research.
