Job Description If you are an experienced electronic health record system builder and are looking for a rewarding new challenge, join the Apex Systems team! We are looking for an EHR Systems Analyst to design, build and implement Allscripts-based EHR systems for our client hospitals on a consultant basis. You will utilize your expertise and experience with Allscripts modules to ensure the quality of Allscripts product design, builds, implementation and functionality. In your role as an EHR Systems Analyst, you will work in cooperation with the hospital's business analyst, project manager and care providers to learn the hospital's specific system needs, determine which Allscripts modules are required to fulfill those needs and then to design and build an EHR system on that basis. EHR Systems Analyst - Allscripts Builder (Healthcare Records) Job Responsibilities As an EHR Systems Analyst you will work with client hospitals in the conceptualization, design, build and implementation of new EHR applications, modules or systems, including major enhancements, upgrades and required maintenance. Your focus as an EHR Systems Analyst will be on Allscripts technology and your assignments will depend upon the specific Allscripts modules with which you have prior experience. You will coordinate your work for our clients with that of Systems Analysts on the same project who specialize in various other Allscripts modules to ensure proper configuration and seamless integration between modules and of the EHR system as a whole. Your specific duties as an EHR Systems Analyst will include: Coordinating with associate System Analysts in application design, coding, testing, implementation and documentation Conferring with the hospital's doctors, nurses and other care providers to assess their needs and requirements and to ensure that all areas of hospital are effectively coordinated within the EHR system Determining which Allscripts modules are required for each project and ensuring that they are coordinated with one another Participating in "go-live' deployment of the Allscripts application system and troubleshooting and optimizing any functional issues that may arise Providing post-implementation support for client hospitals Completing specific team task activities as documented on the project work plan Conferring with business analysts on the client's business processes to ensure proper system configuration Developing and maintaining models and documentation of all business and system requirements and configuring the system accordingly Maintaining all required system design and build documents Contributing to the preparation of testing scripts and materials as well as performing unit, system and integrated testing tasks Working with the training team to develop application specific training curriculums and materials Logging, tracking, analyzing, and coordinating all system changes, including any software code implementations, as well as resolving issues related to software code modifications or enhancements Generating regular status reports and submitting them to the team leader Assisting with business analysis as required by client EHR Systems Analyst â€" Allscripts Builder (Healthcare Records) Job Requirements As an EHR Systems Analyst, it is important that you have a solid and proven understanding of Allscripts builds and the life cycle of Allscripts systems implementation, as well as end user work flow and how that affects system requirements. You must also have self-motivated time-management and organizational skills, along with the ability to function effectively as part of a team. Specific qualifications for the EHR Systems Analyst position include: 1-2 years Allscripts healthcare operations and/or system experience; 3-5 years a plus Experience with one or more of the following Allscripts modules: Allscripts Electronic Health Records Allscripts MyWay Allscripts Enterprise EHR Allscripts Medication Management CPOE eMAR Sunrise Pharmacy BCMA Allscripts Care Management Allscripts Revenue Cycle and Access Management Allscripts Touchworks Deep experience in Allscripts module build, configuration and support, including master file build Experience scheduling workflows Clinical background preferred IT/technical background preferred Experience leading build projects a plus
