Our Jones & Bartlett division is seeking an International Business Development Manager to join our team in Burlington, MA. Jones & Bartlett Learning combines authoritative content with innovative technology to help educators teach more effectively and students learn more efficiently. International Business Development Manager:
The International Business Development Manager (IBDM) is responsible for identifying and developing growth opportunities for Jones & Bartlett Learning’s content outside of the United States. The IBDM will work with management and sales personnel to create and implement strategic plans and leverage partnerships in order to achieve individual financial goals and contribute to the achievement of the overall financial goals of the international business unit. This position will report to the Vice President of International Sales.
Required Skills
Achieve licensing, translation and direct sales goals for selected Public Safety titles.
Engage, enhance and expand professional partnerships with key stakeholders who use Public Safety translations and English-language products in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Collaborate with management, sales, editorial and licensing personnel to develop and implement strategies and plans to grow Jones & Bartlett Learning’s products in in selected markets as assigned.
Develop and execute territory-specific strategies to drive digital sales of Jones & Bartlett Learning’s products outside of the United States. Identify reliable partners as appropriate.
Represent Jones & Bartlett Learning at key events including book fairs, exhibits and conferences.
Required Experience
BA/BS is required.
Minimum 3+ years of management experience with a proven record of success. Previous sales, marketing or editorial experience in the publishing industry and familiarity with Public Safety products are desirable.
Strong analytical and oral and written communication skills. Technologically proficient.
Team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail and sensitivity to cultural diversity.
Foreign language ability and experience living or working overseas are a plus. International travel is required. Travel will be up to 25%.
