The ICU RN is responsible for:
Monitoring and recording the status of critical care patients and responding appropriately to signs of deterioration in the patient's condition
Familiar with the use and maintenance of state of the art medical devices intended to record patient's vital signs or to assist in life support functions
Observing the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress
Ensuring that life support equipment, such as ventilators and feeding tubes, functions properly
Administering IVs, bringing medication and inserting catheters
Required Skills
Active MA license
1+ year of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
