Senior Nurse

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Supervision/Staff Development/Training & Education:
Assist in the direction and supervision of intake operations Assist in review of assessments for quality Assist with orientation, training, and direct development of nursing staff Provide, direct, and train staff in the provision of nursing assessments, patient education and medical case management.
Patient Care :
Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints. Assist in mediating nurse/patient conflicts. Assist in managing the day to day patient needs/issues that may arise. Respond as needed to patient acute care needs. Perform direct patient care as determined by patient population and staffing needs. Respond to medical issues or staff questions related to patient ! care plans.
Administrative :
Assist in mon! itoring narcotic supply ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies. A ssist in required tracking of medical and nursing protocols, standards and policies. Assist with DEA readiness/documentation compliance reports. Maintain and submit internal quarterly inventory audits to the Nurse Director, if requested. Assist the Nurse Director and Program Director with on site DEA and State inspections. Foster cooperation between clinical, nursing and medical staffs. Assist Nurse Director with screening, hiring and evaluation of nursing staff. Assist in quality assurance chart reviews, assessing clinical and medical documentation to ensure compliance with regulation and program standards. Participate in management/supervisory meetings. Assist in implementation of Quality Improvement Program, initiatives and goals. Assist with scheduling of nursing staff and/or services. Assist with providing on call coverage. Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
Qualificati! ons :
MA RN nursing licensure required. Prior supervisory experience, self motivated, and directed, must have a
positive attitude toward chemically dependent persons. Previous experience in chemical dependency preferred.
