Project Specialist

Location: Charlestown Massachusetts

Description: HMS is at present looking to employ Project Specialist right now, this position will be placed in Massachusetts. Coordinates Medical Record Review and Appeals Processes to include any of the following responsibilities: data entry; tracking of records to nurse reviewers, subcontractors, and /or physician reviewe! rs; printing letters and reports; loading data into databases; uploading reports, and organizing, scanning, and coordinating medical records.

Maintains current list of physicians and assists with physician time sheets

Maintains department's database and generates monthly reports.

Responsible for spreadsheets and data entry.

Serves as a departmental central point of contact

Prepares requests for expenditures. Orders supplies. Arranges travel as requested.

Types and formats correspondence, meeting notices, agendas, meeting minutes, reports.

Creates and edits presentation materials such as graphs, slides, hand outs, manuals, spreadsheets, tables.

Schedules and coordinates meetings an conference calls with internal and external customers. Prepares and distributes meeting materials. Reserves rooms and equipment.

Prepares outgoing mail

Required Skills

Demonstrated ability to use a p! ersonal computer and other office equipment such as a fax mach! ine, printers, conference telephone, audio-visual equipment

Proficient with Word and Excel

Demonstrated accurate typing speed of 65 words per minute

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and multi-level tasks effectively.

Required Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Post high school education or training in secretarial, clerical or business-related field

Minimum 5 years experience in a secretarial or administrative support position .
