Five Star Rehab & Wellness, LLC is seeking an experienced healthcare rehabilitation operations manager with! extensive and current Medicare and Financial Knowledge. This position is a direct report to the Vice President of Rehab & Wellness and will be based out of our Corporate Offices in Newton, MA,
The Rehabilitation Operations Manager will support the Rehabilitation departments for the Assisted/Independent Living and Skilled Nursing facilities located throughout the country.
Function: The two-fold focus of this position is (1) to assure compliance with Medicare and Managed Care Programs to achieve optimal clinical/financial outcomes and (2) to provide daily oversight of all business office functions for Five Star Rehabilitation and Wellness Services including, but not limited to, HR, payroll, A/R.
The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist Speech-Language Pathologist or Nursing program. A minimum of 10 plus years in rehab operation with extensive! and current Medicare and Financial Operations knowledge. Expe! rience in case management required with intimate knowledge of Long Term Care Medicare regulations and Prospective Payment System. It is important to have clear, precise communication skilled to educate and train the field management staff. Strong clinical and teaching skills are required. Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as excellent organization and interpersonal skills are a must. Demonstrate active listen skills, gain support through effective relationships, Occasional travel required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide oversight of the Medicare programs to assure adequate & appropriate reimbursement. Analyzed financial performance and conduct utilization audits to ensure clinical services were appropriately recognized Oversight of Denial/Appeals process Work closely with Divisional, Regional and Rehab Directors to ensure Rehab Departments were capturing clinically appropriate RUG's utilization, distribution and LOS! Provide presentation at management level on various topics including Case Mix management, Medicare & MDS basics Probe Audit process, proper documentation and effective Medicare Meetings. Assist in the development of company Mission & Vision Policy & Procedures, establish excellent Customer Relations and Training of Management staff. Oversee company operation in absence of Vice President.
