POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeper under the supervision of Housekeeping Supervisor performs/supervises services in a designated area according to the polici! es, procedures, philosophy, and objectives of the department and hospital. Works cooperatively within department and other services to create a system of quality health care.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the Direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper is responsible for 7-step cleaning patient care and ancillary areas. They are responsible for following infection control guidelines and provide a safe and sanitary environment for all customers. This position will also be performing various other tasks to aide the other departments that make up Hospitality Services.
A. Completes the 7 steps of cleaning dailt.
B. Collects waste in assigned area within scheduled time.
C. Clean all equipment after use and return to appropriate area at end of shift.
D. Understands the inspection process and follows up with recommendations.
E Follows the IVR phone system procedures to log in beds for discharges.
F. Follo! ws the Cares training program when interacting with patients a! nd nurses.
G. Maintains appropriate inventory in their areas, such as paper towels, TP, soap.
H. Buff floors as assigned with attention to detail.
