What’s the story?
We are looking for a full-time Store Team Leader to join Medibank retail leadership team in Casuarina on a permanent basis. In this role, you will deliver better health to our customers and to Australia through our provision of health services, our health system advocacy, and our work in the community.
The role:
As a member of a strong and supportive leadership team that puts our customers first, your role involves managing the day-to-day operations and sales development for our Casuarina retail store. By showing heart and empathy, you will contribute towards Medibank’s growth and deliver our purpose “Better Health for Better Lives”.
Your impact:
As the Store Team Leader you will be responsible developing tactical strategies to win new, and to retain existing business, whilst delivering well executed sales plans and customer focused problem-solving that delivers favourable outcomes for the business customer, end consumer, and Medibank sales objectives. With an engaged workforce and culture of are customer centricity at the core, you will provide practical guidance and support to your team daily building an environment for success.
Your every day:
Not every day at Medibank will be the same and being adaptable is the key to success. Some of the best elements of this role include:
- Manage the operations and business development of the Casuarina retail store.
- Maximise and enhance customer and business relationships within the Casuarina area and represent Medibank in their local community.
- Build new, and leverage from existing, relationships with key influencers, decision-makers to identify opportunities and enhance sales effectiveness.
- Coach and develop team members to ensure succession planning is effective and targets are met.
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline for the portfolio outlining upcoming and current activity.
- Focus on improving the Retail Centre’s performance and expanding our presence in the area.
Who are you?
With solid experience in leading sales and service teams, this role will see you drive your team to reach their targets. You have previous experience working in insurance, financial services, call centre or similar retail environment.
You have a proven track record of coaching and providing feedback to develop highly performing teams. Your ability to effectively manage upcoming and current activities while identifying opportunities to enhance sales effectiveness is unmatched. You maintain a positive, resilient attitude and take accountability for your team's goals while leading by example. Putting the customer at the centre of your thinking, you implement different strategies to meet their needs. You are comfortable with change and are dynamic when dealing with it, adaptability and being able to face changes and challenges with ease. You recognize that technology is constantly evolving and that it's necessary to remain up to date to stay ahead.
