Job Title: Project Scheduler
Rotational Schedule: 5/2
Crew Change Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Roles & Responsibilities
· Fully understand the basics of scheduling
o Schedule mechanics and understanding of activities/tasks, logic, milestones, duration, resources, hrs and how everything impact a job, activities, event, etc.
o High level understanding of levelling and baselines
o Identify critical activities.
· Develop and deliver an optimized, effective, and efficient maintenance schedule every week (100% loaded) for an asset 14-day (Hard) Maintenance Schedule – T0 hard freeze, T1-T2 soft freeze.
· Identify and elevate scheduling barriers and opportunities to key stakeholders (OMC, Maintenance team Lead, Block Coordinators, TA Event Leads, etc.)
· Engaging with Stakeholders, Asset Leadership, Advisors, Maintenance Team Lead, WPT’s, Planners (including Block Coordinators), and any others to ensure an optimized, effective, and efficient schedule is consistently delivered without blind spots.
· Aligning orders/activities in the backlog that occur on the same equipment, and/or similar task for deferment/cost/resource optimization.
· Optimizing the scheduled day of execution for Weekly PMs, based on asset circumstances.
· Reviewing upcoming PM/CM work orders, make Basic Start Date adjustments as needed.
· Maintaining accurate resource capacities.
· Participate in Week in Review meetings to identify/understand root causes of schedule upsets, and opportunities to improve schedule attainment, liquidation rate, and schedule efficiency.
· Develop level loaded 52-week view of maintenance activity.
· Ability to Travel Offshore
· A good understanding of SAP.
Scheduler II
(Routine Maintenance, Turnarounds, Major Maintenance & Project Construction)
Scheduler IIs shall have all roles, responsibilities, and qualifications of a Scheduler I with additional roles, responsibilities, and qualifications of:
· Ability to schedule in P6 and develop Gant chart timelines.
· P6 Scheduling includes:
o The ability to develop an optimal WBS structure with appropriate milestones to manage execution and highlight key risks and opportunities.
o Developing a fully Integrated schedule, with activities from all different sources of execution during the Event or Project.
o Developing a schedule with appropriate logic ties that reflect the constraints in the field and provides a realistic view of the sequence of work.
o Levelling of resources based on an established priority scheme and POB capacity.
o Development and understanding of critical path, near critical path, and critical mass jobs for the event, and monitoring the impacts of total float throughout execution.
o Setting of Baselines and progressing the schedule on a frequent basis based on input from the execution organization in the field.
o Developing S-Curves and Progress Reports that reflect actual performance, enable forecasting of end dates, and highlight key risks and opportunities.
o Ability to manage changes to the Schedule following an Addenda process.
· Should have 3+ years of Scheduling Experience, with ideally all 3+ years Scheduling in Primavera P6.
· A strong knowledge and efficiency in SAP
Scheduler III/Senior Scheduler
(Routine Maintenance, Turnarounds, Major Maintenance & Project Construction)
Scheduler IIIs shall have all roles, responsibilities, and qualifications of a Scheduler II with additional roles, responsibilities, and qualifications of:
· Ability to coach, mentor and develop others on Shell’s Maintenance Execution, Perform Turnarounds and Major Maintenance Work Processes.
· Scheduler Focal Point for OTHER CONTRACTORs
· Should have 5+ years of Scheduling Experience, with ideally all 5+ years Scheduling in Primavera P6. Primavera Scheduling experience to include managing execution schedules for multiple Major Turnarounds or Project Events, and/or a portfolio of Major Maintenance events or smaller Capital Projects.
· A strong knowledge and efficiency in SAP
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.71 - $45.00 per hour
