New England Hematology Oncology Associates at the Vernon Cancer Center at Newton-Wellesley Hospital is looking for an experienced IV Tech/Mixing Specialist to join our team. The IV Tech/Mixing Specialist is responsible for the IV mixing and compounding procedures for patient treatment drug regimens, including hematology and oncology medications, pre-medications, hydrations, and emergency medications. Responsible for all aspects of product including review of calculations on patient order set, aseptic technique, Lynx dispensing, labeling, including cautionary and auxiliary labels, fluid dilutions, tubing requirements, prime tubing as needed, prep time and expiration, providing double check calculation and product vial for Nursing verification.
Minimum 1 year of IV compounding and IV admixture experience, intravenous technician experience required in hospital or home infusion setting, national technician certification required. Experience with chemotherapy highly desirable.
