About the Position The Manager of Delegation Care Management (Atrius Health) will serve as the official delegation manager for the health plans as identified for all of Atrius Health. In overseeing the delegation requirements for care coordination, the role is an integral part of the medical management program. Acts as a liaison between the Atrius medical groups and the health plans on covered medical management issues. Develops and oversees the implementation of the policies and protocols, in compliance with health plan requirements, that are used by Group care managers to regulate, manage and approve the level of care that a patient receives in the acute-care facility (such as skilled nursing facilities, aka SNF's), post-acute-care facility, and home by authorizing these services on behalf of the health plan. Develops policies and procedures that facilitate directing patients to preferred vendors of the practices such as SNF's and homecare. Completes annual delegation documentation, ensures adherence to health plan guidelines and standards, provides ongoing training for care managers, manages periodic audits, and reports on defined process and outcome measures. Reports to the Medical Director for Medical Management.

This position is located at Atrius Health’s Management Offices in Newton; conveniently located at the junction of the Mass. Pike and Route 128, Exit 22-next to the Riverside stop of the MBTA Green Line. We offer free parking, a free exercise facility (open 24/7), and a restaurant on site.

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education, training and experience). Clinical or nursing background highly desired.
Skills:
Skills and experience typically acquired through 7-10 years in an outpatient healthcare setting working with a variety of health plans, with at least 3-5 years' of experience in health plan delegation management preferred. Familiarity with health plan delegation process and care management needed. Detail oriented, well-organized approach with the ability to work in tight time frames and under pressure. Able to track the delegation process across groups and to execute a highly complex plan. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience interacting effectively with all levels of personnel including front line care coordinators, hospital liaisons, clinical leaders and health plan executives. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assimilate and synthesize a wide variety of information. Outstanding written and strong verbal communication and presentation skills required, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, concisely, and effectively. Strong attention to detail. Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, leading to the ability to create change through influence and relationship-building. Strong project management experience including the management of large-scale projects. Experience and proficiency collaborating in a matrix work environment. Highly skilled and experienced working as a team member as well as an individual contributor. Must be proficient with business related software applications including Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel.
