MYR - Motivating Youth Recovery : is a 20-bed acute detoxification and stabilization program (up to 30 days) for adolescents 13-17.
The program provides medically monitored detoxification, comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare planning and referral. MYR is a family-centered, strengths-based model that will introduce and engage the adolescent and family members to recovery.
MYR, through its existing connections to community services for adolescents statewide, will develop comprehensive ongoing treatment planning that will provide continued support and treatment for the adolescent and family upon returning to their community.
The program is licensed by The Massachusetts' Department of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services. A master level clinical director, nurses, master level clinicians, case managers and residential counselors staff the program.
The program has 24-hour access to consulting physicians and 2 part-time psychiatrists.
Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with intake processes. Provide direct care services to a caseload of adolescents. Work with adolescents in a one to one setting. Lead effective group sessions. Contribute to the overall success of multi-disciplinary team. Complete all required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Demonstrate an ability to develop respectful interpersonal relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to follow nursing staff, clinician and supervisor instruction.
Qualifications:
HSD/GED required; Associate's degree and/or coursework in social work, counseling, psychology or related field preferred. Current valid US-issued driver's license and ability to provide registered and insured automobile for work related purposes. Desire to serve others required. Demonstrated leadership ability and/or potential required. Experience in social services and/or working with program's population preferred. All bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
