Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Location: Waltham, MA
Major Responsibilities
The Nurse Practi! tioner provides professional psychiatric care in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care. The candidate coordinates and delegates with the nursing staff, utilizing the appropriate process which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The professional is accountable for assigned patients and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional psychiatric practice on the unit.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a fast paced mental health setting
Graduate of an accredited school
License/Certification
Licensed in the state of Massachusetts in Advanced Nursing.
Required Competencies
Must possess knowledge and skills compatible to an individual with board certification in psychiatry
Experienced in inpatient and/or psychiatric/chemical dependency care, addressing the needs of adults, well developed skills in! integrating individual treatment approaches into treatment mi! lieu with solid working relationships with other multidisciplinary staff.
Strong clinical, organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
Supervision Received
Reports to the Medical Director of Eating Disorder Services, Walden Behavioral Care
