Clinical Editor

The Clinical Editor will be responsible for identifying relevant research, summarizing content, and assimilating information into new or existing clinical reference topics
Primary! Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant research for inclusion in new or existing clinical reference topics
- Critically appraise clinical research reports
- Summarize content in brief bulleted outlines within standardized templates and styles
- Synthesize the best available evidence for rapid interpretation within standardized templates
- Assimilate information into new or existing clinical reference topics
- Assist non-clinical writers to determine clinical relevance of database enhancements
- Assist deputy editors with presentation and organization of database in clinically useful format
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of direct patient care experience
- Clinical experience sufficient to discriminate relevancy of medical research based on clinical outcomes and practical applications
- Advanced practice degree ! in clinical patient care field essential (e.g., MD, DO, NP, PA! )
- Critical appraisal skills sufficient to determine validity of randomized trials, cohort studies, diagnostic studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Scientific writing experience 0-1 year
- Clinical experience 1-3 years
- Ability to write concisely in outline format and succinctly state clinical conclusions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and use new software
