The Director of Infection Control is responsible for managing th! e Medical Center's infection control program. In addition the Director is responsible for ensuring that the Medical Center hospital is in substantial compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. The Director manages the Infection Control Program and provides infection control services for other facilities.
Develops goals and objectives for the Infection Control Program Prepares the annual budget for the Infection Control Department. Works collaboratively with hospital epidemiologists. Plans, directs, and supervises system-wide infection control surveillance activities which are appropriate to the Medical Center's demographics (geographic location, volume of patient encounters, patient population served, age of population served, clinical focus, and numbers of employees). Develops the Infection Control Risk Assessment and the annual Surveillance Plan Position reports to Chief Nurse
