Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center Physician Assistant-Inpatient Oncology/Hematology
Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center (DF/BWCC at MRMC) is seeking to recruit a Physician Assistant who is responsible for the medical management of oncology and hematology inpatients. In addition to routine hospital care, this role includes admissions, discharges, and particip! ation in quality improvement initiatives. The PA will perform ! inpatient procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and paracenteses. The PA has expert knowledge of general medicine and has been exposed to oncology, preferably in the inpatient setting. Incorporating knowledge of general internal medicine and medical complications unique to oncology patients will be emphasized in day to day management of patients. The PA will work closely with the physician and nursing staff in developing and coordinating a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of patients and their families. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required.
DF/BWCC at MRMC is an exciting collaboration between the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Brigham and Women’s Physician Organization and Milford Regional Medical Center. The Cancer Center houses medical oncology, radiation oncology, laboratory and imaging services in a state-of-the-art building on the campus of MRMC, which is appro! ximately a 45-minute drive from Boston.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:
a. NCCPA certified
b. Graduate of AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies Program
c. License as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts
d. Current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Licenses
e. BLS and ACLS certified

Schedule

Full-time.
