Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting, healthcare administration or business management or high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
- Supervisory and healthcare billing experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including fundamental knowledge of Windows based software programs, including but not limited to word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Must meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
- Must be capable of perf! orming the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
- Fundamental knowledge of basic accounting principles and agency reimbursement programs.
- Collection experience preferred.
- Ability to manage diverse billing procedures and requirements in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to audit patient accounts, assess accuracy and collectibility of accounts receivable balances, and initiate appropriate collection actions.
- Strong organization skills including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work and produce results under pressure.
- Must be dependable and able to work with minim! al supervision.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality regar! ding patient and company proprietary information.
- Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with other employees at all levels.
