The School Health Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating school health s! ervices that: -maximize the quantity of in class time by reducing the incidence of health related absenteeism -eliminate or minimize health problems which impair learning-achieve the highest degree of independent functioning possibleThe coordinator will identify students with special health care needs, develop and monitor individual health care plans (IHP's) for students who need procedures performed during the school day, provide case management to students with complex health needs, provide consultation as a member of the IEP team, coordinate and initiate screenings and immunization reviews, provide development and training for staff that provide health services, as well as conduct and provide in-service training for school personnel on health issues.
