Lahey Clinic Medical Center in is seeking a full time Advanced Care Practitioner (ACP) for its busy, well-established, adult In! ternal Medicine practice. This ACP will be responsible for providing care to adult primary and urgent care patients who span the full spectrum of clinical diagnoses at Laheys outpatient internal medicine clinic in Burlington, MA.
The GIM Department sees over 500 patients a day and consists of 8 advanced practice clinicians as well as 45 physicians, 9 RNs, 7 LPNs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively with other members of the department in a collegial environment with access to and support from Lahey Clinics dynamic medical staff as well as physicians from over 30 Lahey Clinic sub-specialties. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Program. Documentation of registration for next NCCPA Board administration or successful completion of NCCPA Board and maintainence of appropriate CME
Practitioner RN: Graduate of a Masters Program in Nurs! ing. Maintain currency through Clinical Education Units.
Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Certification and current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
DEA number and Mass Department of Public Health Division of Food and Drug Restricted Substances registration number as appropriate.
Written prescription privilege protocols signed by all attendings with whom the individual will be working.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Good communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with medical staff , nursing staff, and other clinical and administrative colleagues as well as with patients and their families. Knowledge of clinical procedures and protocols. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to provide appropriate emotional support.
Experience:
Direct patient care experience (preferably to include in-patient care) prior to graduation and /or clinic experience while in program.
