Contributes clinical insight in the designs of qualitative data collection instruments and collects data through interviews, focus groups, site visits and expert panels.! Provides clinical insight in interpreting qualitative and quantitative research findings. Specific job responsibilities include:
Applies general and specialized knowledge of clinical care delivery, patient safety programs, clinical informatics, payment policy and quality measurement, using standard methods and techniques.
Participates in the contract proposal process by assisting with design, drafting and modification of clinical portions of proposals.
Designs, collects and analyzes qualitative information related to the clinical aspects of program evaluation, testing of tools in clinical settings, and/or clinical informatics.
Participates in case study data collection.
May conduct independent analyses of quantitative clinical data (e.g., service utilization patterns, frequency of diagnoses, etc.)
Under indirect to general supervision, collaborates with clients and with care delivery organizations, by telephone or in person, to survey, solicit or co! llect information, including direct observation of clinical wo! rkflows. Implements procedures for data collection, manipulation and analysis during all project phases. May participate in the establishment of new or revised systems, policies or methods.
Applies knowledge of intermediate level computer-based word processing.
Responsible for leading or assisting with tasks on complex projects. May manage project components, delegating and reviewing work for accuracy, and quality.
Keeps abreast of trends and developments in related fields. May attend formal training to enhance technical and/or system application or quantitative/qualitative analysis skills.
May represent company at to professional association meetings, recruitment gatherings and in-house events.
Skills Prerequisites:
Seeking a candidate with the following:
Current Nursing License and experience in a acute care facility or a home health agency.
Nursing degree with clinical care experience required.
Research experience, w! riting ability, clinical informatics, medical coding desirable.
