Director of Residential Care

Description: Bay Cove Human Services is at present recruited Director of Residential Care right now, this vacancy will be placed in Massachusetts. Evaluates level of assistance needed, balances needs with staffing levels available in the house.
Develops and implements and orientation plan for residents and their families.
Provide assessment and care plan development and monitoring for all assisted living residents at Foley Senior Residences.
Supervise LPN and resident care aides.
In conjunction with other Kit Clark staff, hire, train and orient resident care aides.!
Oversee the scheduling of services provided by resident c! are aides.
Monitor assisted living residents’ health status.
Provide clinical consultation for medical events including emergencies.
Serve as liaison to patient’s personal physician as needed.
Serve as liaison to other medical professionals, visiting nurse, day care staff, etc.
Maintain records for each assisted living resident.
Participate with service and management staff in weekly multidisciplinary team meeting.
Participate in discharge planning as needed.
Prepare reports and correspondence as directed.
Act as program RN for Group Adult Foster Care Programs, insures compliance with medical component of GAFC.
Responsible for complying with the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Massachusetts, Agency Policy and Procedures and Assisted Living Regulations.
Develop and participate in in-service training programs.
Monitor the SAMM (Self Administration Medication Management) program working with the RCA, families, pharmacy to ! assure the quality, safety and compliance.
Qualifications:
A Registered Nurse licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Able to communicate effectively in English â€" both verbally and in writing.
Physically capable to performing the job.
Comfortable and experienced working with a geriatric population in a multi-cultural community setting.
