WorkBright's normal operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am MT to 6 pm MT; because we are a fully remote company, you are free to operate from anywhere with a reliable internet connection, provided that you can maintain normal working hours that coincide with our largely US-based customers.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Business Development Representative at WorkBright, you will be responsible for engaging in new leads through outbound call efforts, qualifying inbound leads, and working these opportunities from discovery to a closed-won status. Success in this role requires enthusiasm and a hunter-mentality, as your time will be spent on the phone and via email cultivating prospects, following up on leads generated from marketing programs, as well as independent prospecting and other lead generation strategies.
The BDR will be responsible for building and managing a specific territory. The BDR's success will be measured by the number of qualified appointments set up, sales opportunities created and closed-won revenue within your target market. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating a sales database, tracking all leads and sales activity, and providing regular reports to management.

You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You are comfortable cold calling and emailing potential clients to generate new business. You are organized, prompt, and punctual, and you can work well under pressure and meet deadlines. You have strong interpersonal skills and can build relationships with clients, providing support and solutions with grace and ease. You have a strong technical aptitude and can learn and understand our products and services to identify sales opportunities and drive revenue for the company. You are ambitious and driven, with a strong desire to succeed in sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for building and managing a specific territory
- Qualify inbound leads, convert to opportunity, and work towards closed-won
- Make outbound calls to prospects
- Build/manage lead development, and opportunity pipelines based on both inbound/outbound lead generation strategies
- Facilitating WorkBright demos, while working the full sales cycle from lead generation to negotiating commercial agreements
- Create a great first impression with prospects by providing them with a premier experience
- Achieve or exceed goals for qualified leads, opportunity creation, and closed-won revenue
- Partner with Marketing Department with special projects and launches to further optimize software product
- Attend trade shows and exhibits as a WorkBright sales representative
- Travel may be required for trade shows and exhibits
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-6 years' experience in a sales-related role
- Comfortable speaking via phone or web conferencing
- Minimum education required: High School Diploma
- Organized with ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passionate about sales, software, mobile and technology.
- High energy with a 'make-it-happen' attitude.
- Motivated and results driven (i.e. own a quota and exceed it.)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Fast learner (i.e. ability to independently solve problems through research and hustle.)
- Experimental and Analytical (i.e. ability to analyze a process, trying new things, and measuring the results in search of ways to improve a process.)
- Self-confident, self-directed, forward thinking, detailed-oriented.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with a CRM tool (i.e. Salesforce.)
- Experience with a SaaS company with a B2B product.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU: COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- The hourly range for this position is $21.63 to $24.04 per hour plus an annual commission eligibility, up to $35,000. There is an opportunity for a base increase after 4 months of employment and consistent achievement of goals.
