Our J! enk's Unit for Pulmonary Rehabilitation is among the largest Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs in the country, and offers a comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation programs for infants, children and adolescents with chronic respiratory conditions. Our physicians, nurses, therapists and educators are experienced in treating the medical and developmental needs of children who require oxygen, tracheostomy or ventilatory support.
As a pediatric hospitalist, you will provide care to some amazing children and families who are dealing with complicated medical issues, have survived catastrophic illnesses, are post ICU and need the skilled care and compassion of our multidisciplinary team of experts.
Reporting to the CMO, our hospitalists’ responsibilities include:
Care of patients admitted to the service
Initial admission work up
Discharge planning
Subspecialty Consultations and follow up
Supervision of advance practice nurses on the medical team
Wo! rking collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team of care givers and therapists
Communication with and education of families

Candidates must have a medical degree from an accredited institution with training in pediatrics. They must be board-certified in pediatrics if have been practicing for 5 or more years; must be board- eligible if a newer practitioner (completed education within last 5 years)
We seek candidates who will share our passion for treating our kids; candidates with outstanding clinical skills and experience treating pediatric patients in cardiology and ICU; candidates who have recent experience with G tubes, ventilators, central lines and tracheostomy care. Our Hospitalists must be compassionate and caring and be able to demonstrate those values at all times to our patients and their families. They must also be able to work effectively with all staff members at FHFC; to be able to draw people together as a team of compassionate care! givers.
