Due to the expansion of our ED observation units to 20 beds , we are increasing our PA/NP coverage. We seek experienced and talented PA's and! NP's to work in our Center 4 observation area in addition to the main Emergency Room and Rapid Assessment section of the Emergency Department. Under the general guidance of the Medical Director of the Emergency Department and in accordance with 263CMR2.00 of the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Physician Assistants, the Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the Department of Emergency Medicine. Our staff include more than 50 ED Physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who are experienced in both adult and pediatric emergency care.
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program. Prefer two or more years of practice, preferably in an emergency service setting. Physician Assistant Registration required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required. Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification p! referred. Demonstrates history of proficiency in the delivery ! of emergency medical care to patients of all ages. Demonstrates history of a strong member of an Emergency Care Team . Two or more years of practice preferred in acute care and /Emergency Department setting.
